Project statement
Suryagadhi in the Nuwakot district of Nepal is surrounded by stunning landscapes and beautiful nature. Here the villagers live simple, yet meaningful lives. Many of the elders in the village live on their own. The aftermath of earthquakes have driven the younger generation to neighboring towns, or abroad, in pursuit of a safe place to live and better opportunities for work and education.
Despite their age, the elderly work hard each day. Walking mile after mile, embracing a self-sufficient and humble lifestyle. Their stories speak about the strength of the human spirit and the profound ties they maintain to their roots.
