Project statement
After my father passed away due to kidney failure, our family had to endure a lot during his treatment years. While his health continued to deteriorate, all our efforts were focused on his treatment and cure. That was probably when I reaffirmed the love, connection, acceptance, and nuances within our family.
Dinesh Dai (37) from Nuwakot has been a CKD patient for 20 years in Kathmandu. He lives in a small single room inside a city hospital. His story is one of sanguinity and courage. He wants to live. He is one of the lucky few renal patients in the Nepali health system who has been living on dialysis treatment—three shifts of dialysis every day—for these 20 years.
